Questions
How do I register for classes? Print and sign the Application Form, Policy & Rules Agreement, and Waiver & Release form. Then, send a copy of your completed forms to spiritofdance22@gmail.com or mail to The Spirit of Dance Studio at 2 Erin Place, Carlisle, PA 17015.
When does registration close? Don't wait to sign up! We stop accepting dancers the 1st week of October.
Can my dancer take only Week A styles? Or only Week B? Trying new things can be uncomfortable at first, but here at the Spirit of Dance Studio, we encourage all of our students to branch out beyond their comfort zone and practice all styles of dance from Week A & B. Unless there is a medical reason for not being able to take a specific class, all styles are required to be taken by every dancer.
When is tuition due? Tuition is due the 1st week of every month (due dates are on the registration form). We accept cash, card, checks, or Venmo. A $10 late fee will be added to any late payments.
What is your absentee policy? Dancers should notify the teacher or director (text or email) if they are going to miss class. If a dancer is absent from class, it is the dancer’s responsibility to learn the choreography missed outside of class time (by reviewing the videos in our studio's shared Google drive) If a dancer misses 3 or more classes they may be removed from the routine.
When is the studio open? September-May we are open on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights from 5:30-7:30 P.M. The studio is NOT open for drop-ins any other times unless scheduled with the owner.
Where is the studio and where is parking? Our studio is located in a residential area on the edge of Carlisle. Just beyond the Cumberland Golf Course, you'll find The Spirit of Dance Studio at 2 Erin Place (attached to the first residence on the street). Parking is provided along the left side of the driveway on an angle, no parking behind the garages or in the turnaround. Additional parking is available along the street when needed.
How do you handle studio closures for weather? In the event of inclement weather, we will post an update on our social media pages at least two hours before the first scheduled class. We will also send an email/text notification to all registered families.
